We made it friends! 2024 is wrapping up and we’re looking forward to a strong start in 2025. For our final blog this year, we wanted to do a quick recap and provide an exciting update for next year.
As many of you know, 2024 was a bit of a rollercoaster for the job market. It was a bit slow for the jobseekers with all the layoffs that took place, but the good news is- we’re already seeing things picking up ahead of the New Year. Fingers and toes crossed for a strong bounce-back in 2025!
To help those who may have been on the job market, we have dropped several new (and always free) resources throughout this year, so be sure to check those out here.
We would be remiss not to mention an extremely notable loss to our industry this year with the passing of Nicole Evans. Many of you had the opportunity to know and be impacted by Nicole and she is greatly missed. Nicole was a major influence in my life for a number of years as she agreed to hire me and helped to kickstart my career in Medical Affairs. I am forever grateful to her for that opportunity, as I know Ashley and Heather are also.
Every year instead of gifts, PF makes donations on behalf of our PharmaFriends to organizations that make an impact related to our industry. This year, in honor of Nicole, we are donating to the Mary Crowley Cancer Research and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, to learn more about their important initiatives, check out marycrowley.org and www.ovarian.org.
Now looking forward to 2025, we have an exciting personal update to share with you! Heather and her husband are expecting their first baby towards the end of January. We are thrilled to be welcoming a new human into the PharmaFinders fold and are so excited to see Heather and Garrett become parents. That being said, Heather will be taking maternity leave (planned return toward the end of April), so if you need anything while she’s out, please give me and/or Ashley a shout!
If you’re interested in connecting for the new year to discuss career goals, reconnect, or just network- let us know, we’d love to hear from you!
As always, we are so thankful to each and every one of you, and are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead. Wishing you an awesome holiday season and hopefully a restful break!
Warm regards,
-Crecia
